Dates: July 20-22
This intense, overnight training camp is designed for those players interested in specialized skill training. This camp is tailored for those athletes that have a strong volleyball foundation and are wanting to further advance their individual skills and concepts of volleyball beyond their high school careers.
This camp is open to players from grade 10 to incoming college freshmen.

 

Setters will concentrate on setting skill techniques and training repetitions in footwork, decision making and various play sets. Video analysis and lessons on leadership.

 

Hitters will concentrate on a variety of attack skills for the outside, middle and right-side hitting positions. The 3 & 4 step approach, quick attacks and hitting technique. Hitters will also work on their transition game, defense and various shots. Video analysis will be used to help
enhance learning.

 

Libero/Defensive Specialists will train and concentrate on serve receive (overhead/forearm passing), defense (footwork, defensive movement, reading and reacting) and serving.

 

It is recommended that players attending this camp have at least three years experience in the game at the varsity/club level.

 

Location & Facilities

Camp is held on the beautiful University of Connecticut campus in Storrs, Connecticut. All sessions are conducted in the modern, spacious Harry A. Gampel Pavilion featuring five full-sized indoor courts and Guyer Gymnasium featuring three full-sized indoor courts.
